Ike's Story...
Approximate DOB: July 2014

Hi, my name is Ike! I am one of the “Presidential Kitties.” My momma’s name is Reagan and my siblings are Carter, Kennedy, Lincoln and Madison. We were born into a hoarding situation, but fortunately, we were quickly rescued by our FFN foster mother and have lived here ever since.

I am a very handsome fellow with light grey, very soft fur and white stripes. I have gorgeous grey eyes also! My foster Mom calls me a snuggle bunny. I’m not sure what that means, but I do like to snuggle under her neck and purr and purr. I have a squeaky little meow, which seems to make everyone laugh. I love to be petted and if I’m not getting enough attention, I’ll let out a little squeak to make sure they know I’m still here!

I like to sit on the windowsill to sun myself and watch the birds in the nearby tree. I am full of energy and love to climb our cat tree to the tippy top, then climb back down like a bear cub. I also have so much fun playing with feather wands, little mice and colored balls. There isn’t too much I won’t play with!! But after a long play session, I like to curl up with one of my brothers or one of my foster family members, make some “bread,” purr loud like a motor boat and take a nice long nap.

Everyone is going to want to have a Presidential Kitty living with them, so you better submit your adoption application quickly. Please consider adopting me with one of my siblings so we can grow up and live the rest of our lives together! We would love to call yours our forever home!!

This kitty has had his initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea/tick preventative, has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and has been micro-chipped and altered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ike, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
