Snoogle's Story...
Applications can be found on our website www.starbrightanimalrescue.org or Please e mail starbrightdogs@mail.com for an application for Snoogle. We respond to ALL enquiries, so please check your junk mailbox if waiting to hear. Snoogle is around 12 weeks old. He is a special little puppy, he has Mega E which means he has a pouch in his esophagus, food can collect here after he eats and he can throw it back up, however, we have found in his foster home that he is ok most of the time as long as he eats and rests and doesn't run around once he has had a meal or a snack, so a careful feeding routine will be important, and raised bowls where he needs to reach for his food would be a good idea, he is not a bad case of Mega E, but some care will need to be taken. He is a very cuddly boy, he loves company, and is as smooth as velvet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snoogle, a Portsmouth Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
