Groucho's Story...
Groucho is a 2 year old black/white DLH male who is so appropriately named! This handsome boy has a mustache just like the fella he was named for! Groucho was first born to a HAHS mama and was adopted as a kitten but returned to us through absolutely no fault of his own. Very outgoing boy who loves attention! Foster mom can't say enough good things about him!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Donna at 816.478.4689 or dlbyars@gmail.com to find out when and where you can meet GROUCHO!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Groucho, a Overland Park Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
