Thomas's Story...
Thank you so much for your interest in Thomas.

A little bit of information on Thomas:

Thomas was found by rescue in a high intake shelter in rural north GA. The shelter is the only one in the area and does not allow the public to adopt--only rescues. This is due to limited money for staff. Thomas was one of the lucky few who made it out alive. Thomas was in a cell with multiple other dogs and one bowl of food, which is hard evidence as to how fabulous he is with other dogs. He is playful, silly, and loves attention. Thomas is appropriate in all situations. He is not recommended to be in a home with small children due to his door manners--Thomas will run out the front door if it's open. Simple training can fix that. He is a true joy. Cat status is unknown. Crate Trained , Leash Trained (Walks calmly on lead), Good with Children, Good with Adults Male and Female, Good with other Dogs Very social - does not want to be left alone., Would be best with another dog.

Thomas will be coming to our November event at Hale Hill Tree Farm - 815 Glastonbury Turnpike - Portland Connecticut. November 8th and 9th. If you are interested in applying for Thomas please visit our website and fill out an application at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thomas, a Chester Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Chester, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
