Polo Jack's Story...
Cutie pie here is Polo Jack! He is between 1-2 years in age, weighs about 60 pounds, super duper friendly to all that he meets. Polo Jack gets along nice with other dogs, he will play and enjoys fetching a tennis ball. He knows some basic commands such as sit and lay down. This guy has great house manners, housebroken and crate trained. He arrived to rescue due to the original owner moving out and left him behind with the renter, who could no longer keep him. Polo Jack ignores kitty cats that he has met so far. If you would like to be this handsome boy's forever home, please complete an online application at www.henricohumane.org to get started.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polo Jack, a Richmond Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
