My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is a super-beagle! He's about 3 years old and weighs 41 lbs. We think he might be mixed with a little bit of pointer. He was saved from the kill shelter in Tennessee and went into our Inmate Protection Program in Athens TN. That's a program where jail inmates care for the pooches like their own until we can find them loving homes. Duke is very people and dog friendly and loves to play! He'd make a great companion. Because he is a beagle we'd suggest a fenced yard or that he's kept leashed so he doesn't go off following his nose unsupervised. His adoption fee is reduced to $350 to help him get into his forever home quicker! Please apply!
