Ruby's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Ruby's Story...
Ruby is a female Lab/Shar Pei mix, about 2 years old. Before coming to The Rescue Project, she lived her life on a heavy chain and had never seen the inside of a house. She had no bed or toys. She is fully grown and weighs around 70lbs. She is eager to please and learns quickly. She is potty trained. She would do well with kids but likely not cats. She gets along well with other dogs and LOVES to go to the dog park. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, and is microchipped.

Ruby is currently in foster care. If you would like to meet Ruby, please send us a message via email at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
