Scarlett's Story...
Hi, my name is Scarlett and I am about 3 years old. I used to have a home that was supposed to be fur-ever, but there were different plans for my daddy. See, he was a soldier and, one day while he was at war, he was killed. A lot of people have told me he is a hero, but all I know is that I miss him. My grandma tried to take care of me but she is elderly and could not. I ended up in a kill shelter in Mesquite. I hadn’t been there very long when I was told that Alamo City was driving through an ice storm to save me! I got to stay in a nice hotel with a little boy and a tiny baby, both of whom I was very gentle around. I am looking for my fur-ever home, without dogs that are bigger than me. My fosters Great Danes scare me, so I act out a little. I don’t mean to, but they are HUGE! I wouldn’t even mind being your only dog, as I love cuddling and snoozing. I am potty trained, crate trained, spayed, up to date on shots, and micro-chipped. I need someone to help me be confident. A lot has changed in my life and I need to know that I am fur-ever home.

Adoption Fee: $200.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a San Antonio Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
