Information

Kadir is a very happy vision impaired Boxer mix. He loves everyone he meets, both two and four legged. He enjoys rope toys and searching for squeaky balls which he chews on until they no longer squeak. He is house broken and sits nicely for car rides.

He now comes when called, except when someone is at the door, then his duties as official dog greeter take over. We are working on not jumping on people, as this is how he greets most everyone, as well as not mouthing his friends while playing or excited. He will sometimes sit on command, if he feels like sitting.

He does have some dominance traits, so a first time dog owner who could be intimidated by a muscular 50 pound bundle of love might not be a good match. He enjoys spending time with people, he will follow you around from room to room, so someone who works from home or is home a lot will be a plus.

About Blind Dog Rescue Alliance - MA

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of volunteers spread throughout the United States (and even a couple in Canada) who are dedicated to advocating for blind and visually impaired dogs by rescuing dogs in shelters, helping blind dog owners, and educating the public. We formed in 2009, though our members have many years of experience in rescue, and in blind dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested in adopting a BDRA Dog? Simply fill out our application. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered,

up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive.

We ask a $300 adoption fee. This does not begin to cover the vetwork we do on our dogs, which is why
we are always fundraising!

The Board of Directors has voted to prohibit the use of Invisible/Electronic fences on Blind Dog Rescue Alliance dogs. This policy will be effective immediately.

Keep in mind that Blind Dog Rescue Alliance will transport dogs to their potential adopters. So do not let distance discourage you.
