Monte (8 weeks)'s Story...
Located in Astatula, FL. Available for adoption through Misfit. Contact information below.

Hi everyone! My name is Monte and I am a sweet 8 week old shepherd/mixed breed male puppy who is looking for a forever home. I was orphaned as a small pup and now I can't wait to have a loving family of my very own. I am your typical playful and loving puppy. I would be fine in a home with other dogs, cats, or children. I will likely grow to a medium or medium/large size. I am hopefully being neutered at the end of the week but I am available for meet-and-greets/pre-adoption now.

Before asking about me, please consider that I am a PUPPY. I will require lots of your time and patience. I will need training as I get older including potty training. I will need plenty of chew toys and guidance so that I can learn how to use them properly. I will need continued socialization with people and other dogs in order to stay well-adjusted and well-rounded. If you have a job that would leave no one at home with me for long periods of time or leaves me crated at all hours of the day, please consider if a new dog is the right choice for you right now. If you still think you can swing having a new dog, perhaps an older dog might suit your lifestyle better. Feel free to check out the rescue's other adoptable dogs here:

If you still believe you are prepared to give me the forever home I need, please contact my foster mom Trish at She will be handling my adoption..

My adoption fee is $150 and I come neutered, vaccinated, de-flead, and de-wormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monte (8 weeks), a Groveland Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Groveland, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Groveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
