Ryan's Story...
Thank you so much for your interest in Ryan.

A little bit of information on Ryan:

Ryan, a 5-6 year old shepherd mix, was brought into a high kill shelter. His owner was convinced to wait a week to bring him back so rescue can be found. He was found on the side of the highway the next day. Ryan is an absolute love!! His favorite activity is shaking paw and sliding down for belly rubs. He is excellent with children and dogs of all sizes/ages. He should not be in a home with cats or pigs as he does not care for either. Ryan is super social and wants nothing more than to sit next to someone all day and shake paw. Crate Trained , House Trained, Leash Trained (Walks calmly on lead), Good with Children, Good with Adults Male and Female, Good with other Dogs Very social - does not want to be left alone.

Ryan will be coming to our November event at Hale Hill Tree Farm - 815 Glastonbury Turnpike - Portland Connecticut. November 8th and 9th. If you are interested in applying for Ryan please visit our website and fill out an application at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryan, a Chester Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Chester, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
