HERO, 7 y/o male Weimaraner. Hero was bred for hunting by a competitive sportsman who was focussed on athleticism, intelligence, and temperament. In a non-competitive world, these traits make for a young at heart, smart, active and friendly Weimaraner companion. And as a puppy, he was given to rescue and adopted by a loving family. At around age 6, their lives changed and they were forced to surrender him. Then sadly, his next family ran into difficult times and could no longer have a dog in the home. So once again, this sweet and incredible boy is looking to us to find him a forever home - with a dog buddy would be great! Hero enjoys the companionship of children and adults as well as dogs. He is an active boy and will need daily exercise, but he also enjoys long naps in the living room with the family. Hero's prey drive is part of his make up, so he cannot live with cats or chickens. He will, however, entertain himself for hours chasing squirrels up trees if you happen to have them in your yard. In addition to daily exercise, Hero enjoys going to the dog park to socialize and showing off his tricks; he knows all the basics plus "high 5", "speak", and "play dead", and he will hold a treat on his nose. Hero is crate trained, good in the car, current on vaccines and neutered. In Menlo Park. If you are interested in adopting Hero, please fill out an adoption APPLICATION.
