Duncan's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Duncan's Story...
Magnificent and happy black lab boy ready for a new home. Duncan is 6 years old and weighs 64 pounds. He was brought to BrightSide because his owners were moving and couldn't take Duncan with them. Duncan makes excellent eye contact and scored an A in trainability. He is high energy, food motivated and loves interaction with humans. According to his previous owners he should probably be an only dog with no cats. Duncan does a beautiful sit and recall, and OK down and stay and takes treats nicely. He is ok on a leash though he uses the time outside of his kennel for sensory time and is curious about everything in his new environment. He loves to fetch a ball and will return it to your feet or to your hand. This is a beautiful dog. He is athletic and needs a lot of physical energy to achieve balanced energy. If you are looking for a bundle of love and energy, this is your guy. Please contact us about Duncan. Adoption applications are available (1) online - www.brightsideanimals.org, or (2) email request to adopt@brightsideanimals.org or (3) at BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond, OR.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Redmond Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Redmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Redmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
