Ringo's Story...
Ringo is a 5 month old un-neutered Chihuahua little boy who'll charm you in a nanosecond. He sure didn't waste any time charming several of the volunteers...as well as being beautiful and well behaved he's a snuggle-bunny and will share tons & tons of kisses. Ringo walks fairly well on lead, wants to play and is undaunted by obstacles if he wants to get to something (he's a bit of a mountain goat). He likes treats and accepts them gently and will work hard to get them. When you visit please ask a volunteer to show you how he crosses his front paws... so cute. If you could use some sweet puppy kisses you must stop in and meet Ringo.

If you want to apply for Ringo click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Valley Humane Society. Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ringo, a Meridian Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
