Pappy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Pappy's Story...
The diminutive Pappy came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility as a stray and to date has not been claimed.

In addition to his stunning good looks, he is very friendly and extremely affectionate. His soulful eyes invite you into his world to talk about your day. And his whimsical ears are all set to listen.

Pappy tends to be a bit shy and tentative on his walks always studying what is coming his way. Sometimes he pauses to take a break while watching the world go by around him.

Because of his small stature, a home with adults and older children would best suit him. If you are looking for a true companion that will be sensitive to all of your needs, Pappy will be your match. Come meet him and see what an attentive boy he is.

You can meet Pappy any day at the Coronado Animal Care Facility between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Pappy, you must first complete a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Dog Adoption Counselor. Or, you may complete the online dog adoption application.

If you have any questions, please contact the Dog Adoption Team online or call Karen at 619-437-0220.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pappy, a Coronado Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
