Pops's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Pops's Story...
Pops has the best personality...he is always a happy go lucky dog (his tail is always a-going) and a social fella who loves everyone he meets! He loves to snuggle as close as he can when staff/volunteers are sitting on the bench at the shelter or to lay his head in your lap while he looks up at you with those big brown eyes. He has been around kids and dogs and is fine with them, and should do ok with cats also. Pops walks well on a leash and seems to be house trained. We know Pops is older, sure, but think of him like your favorite wine – mellow and warm and aged to perfection. Love knows no age and Pops is ready, willing and able! He's ready for the time of his life with you!!!

Pops adoption fee is $175. He is microchipped and has tested negative for heartworms. If you would like more information on Pops or to make arrangements to meet him please call Helping Strays at 618-282-7387. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pops, a Columbia Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
