My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

http://www.valleydogs.org/cp_huntress.html -- This is Huntress. Huntress is a 2 year old, 33 lb beagle / terrier mix. She is spayed and microchipped. Huntress needs a new home as her current family is expecting a new baby and feels they no longer have the time to give Huntress the attention she deserves.

Huntress loves to play, run and be active. She enjoys fetching sticks and balls, and really loves running next to bicycles while on lead. While she is an active dog, she has no objections to some quiet cuddle time with her humans and being the center of attention.

She currently lives with a 3 year old boy whom she lets do whatever he wants to her without protest, so she is great with kids once introduced. She is initially a bit shy and wary of people, and will bark initially. Once she has had an opportunity to become acquainted with you all she wants to do is gives kisses and absorb all of attention she can.

Huntress knows how to use the doggie door and has had basic training, although she still has a tendency to jump up on people. She is good with other dogs that are her size and bigger. She exhibits some prey drive with cats and dogs smaller than her, so a home with smaller animals would not be a good match. She does not like Chihuahuas. Huntress also is very fearful of thunderstorms.
