Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HOLLY: Leaps and Bounds have been made by this pretty girl who came to us in very bad shape, physically and emotionally. She had been very clearly hit and not given regular meals and she came to us broken and not knowing what to expect. Thanks to a wonderful team of volunteers who gave her the kind and humane treatment that she deserves, she has blossomed into a smart, loyal, attentive and gentle dog who wags her tail and looks forward to her outings and time spent with us.
She walks very nicely on a leash and enjoys long easy walks and also has become a real fan of playing with toys and training games in our yard. At this time, she is not ready to engage in any off-leash play with other dogs but she is polite and disinterested in other dogs on her walks so we think she would be ideal as an only pet in a home setting.
It is wonderful to see her be goofy and playful with our volunteers and also to see her intelligence when it comes to learning obedience training and we have high hopes for her becoming a wonderful companion.
It would be perfect if her adopter had some experience with dogs who have been ill-treated so she is sure to set up for success and not ever put in a situation that would make her feel uncomfortable even again! Soulful and smart, Holly is ready for her forever home…..
