My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a jogging partner or just an all around nice dog? Then you will want to meet Margarita or as her friends call her Rita. She's a sweet 2 year old Boxer/Shepherd mix. This gal is fun-loving, playful, great with children and other dogs, and is house trained. It's not known if Rita likes cats or not. Rita's foster mom suggests that she be crated when family is away. She is very curious and will find something of interest—other than her toys. She has impeccable manners in the house but will get bored if left alone too long.

Margarita arrived at Friendship APL in August 2014, with four nursing puppies. Margarita and her litter were placed in a foster home. She was a good mother and eventually her pups were weaned and transferred to other foster homes. Now, Margarita is awaiting for a loving family who will give her belly rubs and lots of exercise.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
