Meet Hercules!
Hercules is an expressive, inquisitive, and handsome four-month-old pup with two primary objectives: play and comfort. After playing fetch with his favorite toy (which he can do by himself, if need be), Hercules will find the warmest and softest spot in the house and snuggle in for a nap.
Hercules is mellower than one might expect for a puppy. He loves to run around and explore the back yard, but when he is finished, he sits patiently at the back door. Inside, he sits and observes his family or his toys before deciding what to do or play with next.
He is learning to walk nicely on a leash, is working hard on potty training, and has taken comfortably to his crate. He responds to clicker training and is treat motivated.
Hercules would do well as the only dog in the home, but he would also benefit from an older sibling. His confidence grows daily. While he still finds the outside world a little overwhelming, his fear fades in the company of his foster brother.
Hercules is adaptable, endearing and sure to grow into a wonderful adult dog. He is comfortable with men, women and children, so long as there is a warm lap to welcome him.
Hercules’ adoption fee is $350 and he’s located in New Berlin, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
