Chopper's Story...
Chopper is a sweet and loving male pure bred English bulldog weighing in at just 54 lbs. He is a kind fellow and a real character who likes nothing more than spending time with people. If you are watching TV, Chopper will be right by your side (just turn the TV up because does snore!) In his younger years, Chopper was very active but these days he is happy with short walks and minimal exercise. While in his senior years (aged 11) he is in good health and while he used to periodically suffer from seizures, this has been completely controlled through lose dose low cost medication. Chopper loves all types of people, including young kids, but would ideally benefit from a family with a laid back lifestyle that suits his pace. He is also very comfortable with other animals. Sadly, a sudden change in his family situation is very regrettably requiring them to find a new home for Chopper. Sweet Chopper is neutered, current on vaccines and on heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chopper, a Woodstock English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
