Frontier's Story...
With his handsome mouse-like face and stunning black coat, Frontier is most definitely a looker. But beauty isn’t just skin-deep, and Frontier’s heart is as great as his looks. Admitted from our TNR department, Frontier may not have had a lot of quality interaction with people before being rescued. He may hiss at first because he’s startled, but please don’t let that deter you. Spend some quiet time with him and you will be rewarded. A sweeter cat doesn’t exist. If you hold out your hand he will press his head against it and rub against you for pets. Frontier will need his time to adjust to a new environment, but once he does, this loverboy will make you very happy! Frontier likes other cats and would be a great addition to a home with existing cats. He was born in March 2014.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frontier, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
