Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What a difference a month makes! Riley was rescued from the Bridgeport Animal Shelter after being picked up as a stray. Poor baby was in bad shape. We gave him a long stay at a local vet, treating him for ALL that ails him. We shaved him down, provided medicine and dips, brought him up to date on shots, cleaned his ears, did a blood and fecal test and had him neutered. Although Riley is not ready for his close up, he is doing great and is on the mend. We know he will be a gorgeous boy when his wavey locks grow back. He weighs 36 lbs and still needs to gain a few pounds. The Vet believes he is about 2 years old. Riley is super sweet and affectionate. He loves to give kisses and gets along with the resident dog. He's playful and curious and loves to be with people most of all. Riley s always up for a car ride and will be a wonderful companion. Being alone in a cage for the past month, he craves companionship and attention so someone who goes to work all day will not be a good fit for him. He'll be a great family dog. He has done so well with us so far. He is fully house broken and doesn't destroy anything in the home.He does not like to be crated or confined, and really doesn't need to be. He is one of the smartest dogs we've ever met, so we are hoping to find a home that will work with him to be the best dog he can be. In the past week he has learned and is practicing to sit, down, stay, come and leave it. We don't make any guarantees about his breed (although he really does resemble a PWD) but we do believe he will be an awesome dog once someone teaches him the ropes. He's working on not jumping up but we can't guarantee he won't grab something tasty from the counter if you turn your back. Riley is ready to have the life any cute and adorable pup should have, will that be with you? Riley's adoption fee is a $500 donation towards his medical bills. COME MEET HIM IN WESTPORT, CT.
