My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xena is a long haired Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. She is a 5-6 year old special needs girl and weighs 7 or 8 lbs. She is a bright energetic little girl. with an amazing spirit. She loves everyone especially dogs and cats. She is quiet and doesn’t bark or whine. She is happiest when cuddling and does not like being left alone. She travels very well by car or plane but special care needs to be taken to avoid overexercising her. She has an old injury which causes her to lose her balance and prevents the full use of her hind legs. She walks normally for a while then she'll sit down and drag her leg. After a while she stand ups and starts walking normally again. If she is walked too much she gets sore; for those times she has a special harness which hoists her up by her hind legs to assist her in walking. Check out her videos to see how well she is doing! If she is walked regularly she can be left alone in the house with no accidents. Because she is a special needs dog she would not be suited for a home with kids as she should not be overstimulated or overexercised. She needs a patient owner who will adapt to her special needs.True to her name, Xena is a fighter and a survivor. She is brave, determined and always has a smile on her face.
