Here's what the humans have to say about me:
An application must be completed, before we can schedule a meet and greet.

Stella is a very friendly, 1-2 year old Korean mixed breed dog. She weighs 18 pounds and her personality can be summed up as a social butterfly. She's extremely healthy and has a great personality. She is the type of dog that wants to be a lap dog! Stella is crate trained, house trained, and good with dogs and cats. With hyper dogs she is a bit timid, but is friendly with other dogs. She would do well in a home with or without other pets. She is currently in a temporary foster home, but we are looking for another foster or foster-to-adopt situation.
Stella was rescued from an abusive situation in Korea. A mentally ill, homeless woman had Stella since she was a puppy. The woman dragged the poor dog around on foot from place to place until Stella's paw pads were worn off. The very tip of her left ear was cut off. An animal lover rescued her from this abuse and rehabilitated her in a foster home for 6 months. She doesn't show any signs of this terrible ordeal other than her left ear shape.
Mixed breeds have a difficult time getting adopted in Korea, so they sent her here to California to find a forever home. She deserves to be loved and adored! Stella is a pleasure to be around and would make a wonderful companion for you!
All adoptable companions from Welcome Home Dog Rescue come with a full health check up, up-to-date vaccinations and are micro-chipped. All applications are reviewed in the order they are received; however, WHDR will ultimately select the best applicant to pet union.

Who We Are
Welcome Home Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501c(3) non-profit organization that exists solely on donations. We are a group of dedicated individuals working to change the ways our society deals with animal welfare. We are a group of both experienced dog owners/handlers and first timers, who believe all dogs deserve a good home. We need donations, foster homes, supplies including dog food, flea medication, leashes, harnesses, collars, dog beds, bowls and dog crates. We need volunteers to organize fundraising events, help socialize and attend training classes with our dogs and many other necessary activities.
What truly matters to us, is that we make a difference in the lives of abused, neglected and homeless dogs. To help reduce the number of dogs in shelters, Welcome Home Dog Rescue offers rescue and adoption services specific to the adopter's needs and lifestyle, so that both ends of the leash can find a happy home together.
Although rehoming each abandoned or neglected dog is challenging, at Welcome Home Dog Rescue, we believe that each saved life makes it worth the hard work! We believe in spay/neuter, vaccination and microchipping of adoptable pets and word-of-mouth education. We believe that animals are family members who deserve lifelong care, affection and medical treatment. It is our fervent wish to end and prevent needless suffering of animals.
