My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tippy Born August 2014, Male White DSH
bonded with Boots

With the holiday season close upon us, it is hard to look at a photo of Tippy without starting to dream of a white Christmas, but on the day when a girl found this little guy by the side of the road, it was far too hot to think of snow. On that sweltering afternoon, Tippy was grubby, hungry, dehydrated, and covered with fleas. The girl got off her bike, scooped Tippy up, and rode with him to the veterinary clinic where one of our volunteers works.

Not every vet will just take in a stray cat or kitten off the street, but in this case the staff immediately sprang into action to help. At first the vet was worried that Tippy might also have been hit by something, but it turned out that all he needed was to be hydrated, cleaned up, and given the chance to rebuild his strength.

Before long Tippy was ready to move to a foster home, where he is happy, healthy, and a typical playful and outgoing kitten. He loves other cats and also gets along well with the dogs in his foster home. His foster family loves him, but the time has come for Tippy take his next big step—joining a forever family.

Incidentally, although it isn’t just a legend that many white cats with blue eyes are deaf, Tippy has no trouble at all hearing people laugh at his antics or tell him how adorable he is!

Tippy is fostered in the Sacramento area.
