Bodie is a sweet little man that came to us from a nearby shelter. He was listed as a poodle but we think he may have either maltese or cavalier in him as his hair is more wavy than curly. He was turned into the shelter with a broken leg. After surgery to repair a bad fracture and over two months of therapy he is ready to find his forever home. He is likely to always have a little bit of a limp but does walk well and he is starting to run some too. Bodie will need follow up on his leg to ensure he is doing well. He is between 6 and 7 months old and weighs around 11lbs. He is a dark apricot with white on his chest. This little boy is full of energy and loves to play. He will need space to run and run. Bodie has been neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application.
You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
