My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie is a beautiful, 7 year old, black purebred Lab. She has a beautiful personality and wonderful disposition. Yes, Bonnie is a bit over-weight, weighing about 80 lbs., but a nice brisk walk every day would help her get her girlish figure back. She is beautiful anyway. Bonnie was an owner surrender because her owner's house was becoming infested with fleas and Bonnie was sentenced to a life outside in the horrible summer heat. Guess some people don't know about flea/tick preventative. Lucky Lab Rescue heard of Bonnie's predicament and stepped up for her. She is in a great foster home now with several canine foster friends and getting lots of loving care. She is also 'flea free'. Bonnie's foster mom adores her. Bonnie loves attention, meeting new people and greets everyone with a smile and a tail wag. She gets along great with other dogs and one of her favorite things is 'mouth wrestling' with her younger foster sibling Zeba. She also likes napping flat on her back with all four legs in the air. She is so funny. Bonnie is a low energy girl, but she loves to go for walks, shopping at the local pet store and riding in the car. She gets so excited when she sees the leash come out. Bonnie is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. She is also crate trained, house trained, has great house manners and does okay with the cats. Bonnie is also good with respectful young children. If you are looking for a low-key companion, one to be by your side, give lots of love, go for long walks and just be your best buddy, then that would be Bonnie. For more information on how Bonnie can become a part of your life, please complete the online adoption application and indicate 'Bonnie' in the notes section.
