Dobby's Story...
Name: Dobby
Color: Black and Tan
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Gender: Male
Age: 10 Years
Dobby is a turbo-charged little dude looking for his forever home. Don't let his age fool you; he has an unlimited amount of energy and can keep up with dogs half his age! Dobby was surrendered along with his pal Jane because their owner could no longer care for them. They don't necessarily need to go home together; they would do just fine going their separate ways.
Big fan of: Dobby is an active boy who loves to play fetch and run. If he doesn't get out regularly for exercise he will get anxious and bored. Dobby is a smart dog who would benefit from some positive reward based training. Old dogs certainly can learn new tricks and Dobby would love to impress you with his intelligence.
Special Features: Dobby is proud of his age and thinks you should be too! If you are over 55 years of age, please ask about our “Young at Heart” Adoption Special.
Dream Home: Dobby would do best in a home with children 12 and over and will not be able to live with cats or small animals. He has been trained to have a high prey drive and will certainly chase anything that runs. Dobby would make a great walking or jogging buddy and would love to go everywhere with his new people!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dobby, a Bellingham Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
