Punky Brewster's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Punky Brewster's Story...
Punky Brewster is a 10 month old Border Collie/Wirehaired Terrier mix. She is in the BARK (Behavior And Refinement Kennel) at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex) in Fredonia, KY. She will need an experienced adopter who is familiar with the Border Collie breed. Punky is highly intelligent and mastered all her commands in a week. She is now working successfully at reading flashcards...with the words sit, stay, and leash. She can also roll herself up in a blanket. Due to her breed, she has a very high prey drive and a lot of energy. She will need a job, not necessarily herding, but she needs to be kept very active. if she is bored, she may get into mischief and should not be left unkenneled in the house. A fenced in yard is also a good idea. She does want to please and responds positively when you tell her to stop. She alert barks, but will stop if you give her the stop command. Her adoption fee is $150.00 and you can go to safehavenky@gmail.com to request an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Punky Brewster, a Princeton Border Collie/Wirehaired Fox Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Princeton, or seeking a Border Collie/Wirehaired Fox Terrier puppy from a breeder in Princeton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Princeton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Princeton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Princeton paves the way for another one to be saved.
