found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
Lily will be getting spayed and given her rabies shot then she will be transported to her new foster home until she is adopted!!
Lily has a rescue interested in taking her. She would leave our outdoor kennel and be in a foster home where she is warm, and part of a family until she is adopted into her forever home.
BUT she needs to be spayed, and up to date on all of her shots before they can take her. If ANYONE would like to sponsor Lily to help with her vet care, please send donations to Chester Animal Hospital 1616 State Street Chester IL. 62233 with a note attached For Lily in Animal Control or you can call (618) 826-5332 to make a donation to the vets office with a credit card.
Lets get this little girl out of her cold kennel and onto a warm soft comfy couch for her New Year!
Lily (Tiger Lily) - Female - 6 Months - 35 Lbs.
Lily is a 6 month old unwanted puppy. Lily first came to the kennels scared to death of her own shaddow. She is such a loving little girl that as soon as you walk into her run, she nuzzles up against you as tight as she can. It is obvious that she has had very little interaction with people, as she is just starved for your attention.
She is starting to feel a little more secure as long as she is in her run, but when I took her out on a leash, she was so frightened by the feeling of a collar and a leash that she could not move. When she got up the courage to move, she bucked like a little horse, and then again flattened herself to the ground. With very little coaxing, she was able to take her first steps walking on a leash, and did quite well.
This little girl needs someone that will give her a little time, a little training, and a LOT OF LOVE, possibly her first experience with any of these things, Lily's pictures do NOT do her justice, she is absolutely beautiful and will make someone a great companion. Please consider giving little Lily the home she has never had, but has always wished for.
As Animal Control our dogs are only safe when they are pulled into rescue. If room runs out, euthanasia is a possibility. If you are a rescue group and would like to pull a Chester Animal Control dog please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Elanna at 618-859-4191.
If you are a citizen and would like to adopt a dog please email email@example.com or call Elanna at 618-859-4191. An application will be emailed to you to fill out on line, a vet reference check and home visit are also required before adoption.
All of our Animal Control Dogs have been given Nasal Bordetella (to prevent kennel cough) a DA2PPV shot (to prevent Parvo and Distemper) and have been Heart Worm tested.
Prior to being adopted all dogs will be spayed or neutered, given a rabies shot, dewormed with drontal, microchiped, and checked over by a vet before going to their forever home. Adoption fees vary depending on specifics of each dog.
