Rosie's Story...

Rosie (TINY LITTLE GIRL) - Female - 8 Months - 30 Lbs

Terrier Lab Mix

Rosie is a tiny little girl. She is so adorable! She looks like a black lab puppy, but she is almost full grown! She is in animal control and scared to death. The big dogs have her shaking. She is a little afraid of people, and requires slow gentle movements until she is sure you will not hurt her, then she can not get close enough to you, hoping you will protect her from the big dogs. I love to hold her and tell her everything will get better. If Rosie is the fur faced kid you have been looking to add to your family, please consider adopting her. She needs a warm loving family where she will feel safe.

As Animal Control our dogs are only safe when they are pulled into rescue. If room runs out, euthanasia is a possibility. If you are a rescue group and would like to pull a Chester Animal Control dog please email puppyrescue911@yahoo.com  or call Elanna at 618-859-4191.

If you are a citizen and would like to adopt a dog please email puppyrescue911@yahoo.com  or call Elanna at 618-859-4191. An application will be emailed to you to fill out on line, a vet reference check and home visit are also required before adoption.

All of our Animal Control Dogs have been given Nasal Bordetella (to prevent kennel cough) a DA2PPV shot (to prevent Parvo and Distemper) and have been Heart Worm tested.

Prior to being adopted all dogs will be spayed or neutered, given a rabies shot, dewormed with drontal, microchiped, and checked over by a vet before going to their forever home. Adoption fees vary depending on specifics of each dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Chester Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Miniature Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Chester, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Miniature Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
