My name is Karat and I am a 9-year-old, stunning Pomeranian. I arrived at the Centre with my brother, Ricky. My family was going through some changes in their lives and felt that they could not keep us. I am good with other dogs, especially my brother, Ricky. My biggest wish is that we are adopted together, but we know how hard it is to find a good home for one dog let alone two! Poms are proud, lively and intelligent and I can prove it if you let me. Ricky and I are both very docile and affectionate; they don’t come any sweeter than a Pom! I really enjoy going for long walks and my favourite pastime is chasing Ricky. I would be okay with older children who know how to treat a Pomeranian properly. I do take the job of protecting my house and property seriously, and will bark to alert my family. Apartment or condo living would not be for me. I need a home where I am not alone all day, Poms love their humans and do not like to be without them for too long. My breed does need a lot of brushing and grooming and I do shed; shaving is not an option! Love is what I have to offer and that’s all I ask in return.
