~ABOUT ME~
I'm Kisses, I'm a beautiful, sweet dog who craves positive attention and cuddles. I am a giant lap dog and a world class snuggler. I will sit on laps and even go under the blankets on the bed if you'll let me. I'm good with cats, I just want to play with them and don't understand when they don't want to play back. I do not chase cats. I'm excellent with kids, if anything I love the child in my foster family TOO much. I cover him with kisses and love greeting him.
About 1 year ago, a man at the dog park hit me repeatedly with a retractable leash. Because of that, I am scared of strangers and a little slow to warm up. My friends at P.O.E.T. are working with me on this by introducing me to as many people as possible and teaching me that people are good.
I'm great with dogs in open play, in the yard, dog parks, etc. I do have some issues with food aggression towards my foster siblings, but we are working through that and I have gotten MUCH better. I have not had any issues guarding resources like bones or toys. And my food aggression has never been with people.
I require an experienced family who is willing to continue working with me. They cannot avoid my problems and allow me to regress. I need to keep being exposed to new things as I get older.
