My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty little guy is he is ready to go home now and will be in Canada in a few weeks. So let's talk about him like he's not in the room.

Manchitos is a 8 month old puppy...and a totally stunning little boy. They initially labeled him a chihuahua, but I'm feeling maltesey-poodley-chichey, which is an adjective I just made up. He's hamster-sized by most standards and we are not expecting him to rocket upwards weight-wise. He is the Perfect size.

Manchitos is on the shy side, so if you run a business that uses things like fireworks/noisemakers or you are a professional partier, this is probably not the dog for you. However, if you have friends that have accused you of being a party-pooper for staying in to watch reruns of Murder She Wrote on a Saturday night, Manchitos may be your dog.

Manchitos is friendly but somewhat reserved until he knows you. Once comfortable, he is then willing to climb on you for petting. He is great with dogs and quiet non-screamy people. He is okay with children; just does better with quieter environments.

No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS)

We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.
