Jane's Story...
Jane is a 6 month old lab mix. She is on the smaller side currently weighing only 35 pounds. Jane as a pup had every furparents worst nightmare, she was hit by a car. Jane's owners could not afford treatment for her and luckly for Jane Big Dgos was more than willing to help her out to save her life. Due to being hit by a car Jane had two broken front legs, both which have healed very nicely.

Jane lives with both dogs and cats, she does well with both, however will chase the cats if they don't tell her not to. Jane missed out on a key socialization period due to needing to let her bones heal. She can be shy with new people. She will need a family that is very dedicated to socializing her and obedience will be mandatory. Jane is very food motivated and training is a breeze. Jane gains confidence from her canine companions and having a well balanced dog in her forever home would be best.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jane, a Rochester/Buffalo Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
