Plenty of my friends are looking

Winston's Info...

I am a special needs pet, not good with kids, and good with birds.

Winston's Story...
Winston was born in 1991, and is in our rescue for the second time. This little old man would like to spend the rest of his life in one stable home. He is used to living with his adopted brothers Pete and Don Juan, but would probably adapt to other cockatiels.

Our birds are not available for breeding and we do not ship birds. Potential adopters must call 816-356-4700 for an appointment, and must fill out an adoption application and pass a screening interview to ensure that our birds are going to a safe home. There is usually a 48 hour waiting period after your interview before you are allowed to adopt because we want people to take time and think thru their decision.

Adoption fee for this bird is $10

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Grandview Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in Grandview, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in Grandview.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grandview already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grandview breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grandview paves the way for another one to be saved.
