Sarah's Story...
Sarah is a gorgeous and sweet four-month-old calico kitten looking for a loving guardian.

Little Sarah was found wandering the streets of Chicago wearing only a flea collar. She was brought to a vet to check for a micro-chip but she didn’t have one, yet. All attempts to find her original family failed … so I took her in as my foster.

Sarah is absolutely lovely, talkative, social and playful. She uses her scratching post and litter box like a good girl.

If you look at her gorgeous calico markings on her back, she looks like she has a bat silhouette in honor of Halloween!

She is healthy, de-wormed, and will be fully vetted this week.

To meet and possibly adopt Sarah, please contact Sheri at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. She is currently living in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. Her adoption fee of $100 benefits rescued cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a Chicago Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
