All About Me: Please see the updated photos of the puppies still available for adoption. They are listed as Boxer Boy #1, Boxer Boy #2, Boxer Boy #3, Boxer Girl #1 and Boxer Girl #2. These puppies will be ready for adoption on March 20, 2010.

A very nice lady found this mom in mid January... pregnant and malnourished. She has taken care of her through her pregnancy and now needs to find homes for the puppies. The mother is about 3 years old (according to the vet) .. very sweet and gentle. When healthy she should be 60-65 lbs. She is heartworm positive and will be treated after puppies are adopted.

This kind lady is going to give the mom a forever home but is looking for homes for the puppies. There are 5 boys and 5 girls. They were born Feb. 5th... and seen by vet on Feb 8th. She has the puppies on schedule with their wormings and first shots. All of the pups have smushed faces with wrinkles... various colors of black and brown with white markings. If you are interested in adopting one of these puppies please fill out the adoption application below and we will foward the applications to the foster mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boxer Boy #1, a Old Fort Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
