Notes: This little boy was purchased from a pet store as a 'girl' along with another girl rabbit. The new owners were very surprised when this little 'girl' fathered a litter of little baby rabbits! Waffles is definately a boy! He is super sweet and we are working on litter box training him at this time.

Age: 6months to 1 year old

Your first step in adopting a new family member is to fill out the free online adoption application. The adoption form must be filled out completely with phone numbers and a vet reference before it will be processed. Your application will not be processed without this information.

We sometimes receive many applications on one pet. Our goal is to place the pet in the best home possible based on his/her needs, personality and past history. Please note that adoptions are NOT done on a first come, first serve basis, and filling out an application does not guarantee the adoption of any pet. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for inaccurate or false information. We are looking for the best possible home for this animal. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waffles, a Old Fort Lionhead was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lionhead for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Lionhead from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lionhead breeders who help with Lionhead rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
