Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a beautiful and unusual combination! Shorty is a chocolate lab/bassett hound mix and weighs about 50 lbs. His little legs are just a hoot! Shorty was saved by our southern partner rescue when his time was up at their local shelter. He is a great and fun dog, living with several dogs and doing great. He just needs to be fed separately because he is used to scrounging for food and not realizing he will be fed consistently for the rest of his days! He is so grateful to have a second chance at life! Shorty is approximately one year old and looking for love! He LOVES the water and loves to play! He was tested with cats in the shelter environment and did well.
Shorty plays with all the dogs in his foster home and when he's done playing he wants to play some more. He loves to go for walks and he rides well int eh car. He loves toys and will happily chew on his favorite Nylabone.
Shorty's foster mom has found that he does not like the vacuum cleaner. That's a pretty common thing with rescue dogs so he will need some support to get past his fear of the cleaning monster. Right now he is crated or goes outside when vacuum time begins.
To apply to adopt this dog or any of our other sweeties, please check out our application on our website, www.luckypuprescue.org.
Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
Thank you for considering rescue!
Shorty is with our southern partner rescue waiting for a chance to come north. Maybe you would consider fostering him so we can get him to safety?
