Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CARMEN is a husky mix rescued 7/7/14 in a outlying suburban area after months of wandering. We estimate her date of birth to be March 2013. She is now spayed, fully-vaccinated, de-wormed and current on monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventives. Carmen currently lives at a foster home with about 20 other dogs. She is sweet, gentle and affectionate with her humans and plays well with her dog friends. Although she is not pure husky, Carmen's personality is very husky. She "talks", is highly intelligent, active and busy, very precocious. She is house-trained and knows how to use the doggie door (learned that in 10 minutes). Carmen still has many puppy ways but is sensitive to correction and willingly obeys. She loves her toys and still needs chew bones to keep her mouth busy. She walks on-leash but still balks when uncertain. She will need a person who understands, loves and appreciates huskies, their intensity and need for their humans. Carmen needs an active life, with a lot of social interaction (both human and otherwise). She'd do best in a household where she's not left unattended for long periods. Although Carmen is crate-trained for nighttime sleeping, she's not the kind of dog who can be happy locked in a crate 8-10 hours all day every day. She needs company...and belly rubs. She is a beautiful, gentle, sensitive girl, who adores her people and wants to be cherished for who she was created to be. She is a treasure. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
