My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammy is the victim of a "jealous" husband. He belonged to the wife before marriage and then she loved Sammy so much the new husband couldn't get over it. This is rare but we have seen it once before. Sad but true he was not good for Sammy and used the excuse that he got a new female dog who came in heat and "Sammy wouldn't "behave" himself around her (if you can believe this excuse even though Sammy is neutered I guess he wasn't supposed to "notice" that the female was in heat?) Sammy misses his female owner very much and is depressed. He cries a lot and I wish there was more we could do other than show him he is loved and wanted. Ifwe pull out his leash he had from his owner, he jumps up and down wanting to smell her and thinks he is going home. It is so sad for him. I called her and told her he is very depressed but she apparently doesn't care anymore. Sammy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots. He has 30 days free pet insurance. He is heartworm free.
