Phoebe's Story...
Hi, my name is Phoebe and I am a very young blonde retriever/husky mix. I have the most adorable smile that you won’t be able to say no to. I am a clever and playful little girl who loves to explore my surroundings. I am happy in my ex-pen but am even happier when my humans take me out of it and I can explore my backyard! I am trying very hard to learn about going potty outside, and I’m getting better every day! I am a quick learner, and I definitely have a mischievous side, but it’s only because I’m so excited to see the world! I can get a little nervous when you leave the room, but I’m beginning to learn that you always come back! I love to play with my sister, and I love to get gentle belly rubs from my humans. I like to bark when I play, and my humans say I sound just like my squeaky toys! I would do best in an environment with another young dog I can play with and grow up with, but I can be very happy on my own with enough play and love from my new family! I am a very active puppy and I don’t plan on slowing down as I grow up, so I will do best with an active family that loves to spend time outside with me. I enjoy cuddling when it is time for a nap, but when I’m awake I like to play and explore most of all.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Saskatoon Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Husky/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
