My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,
My name is Lilly and I'm an amazingly sweet, snuggly, soft, petite, loving little girl of about one and a half who is all of about 11 pounds, anxious to please and, did I mention, lovable? I love people, little people called children and other dogs. According to Mom, they love me back!
Another thing Mom wants you to know is that I love for you to talk to me. When you greet me and say, "Hello, Lilly girl", I wag my tail and give kisses. I smile and cock my head and simply love to have you talk to me! (Mom says I am very attentive!)
Dad says I have the cutest way of moving. He says I don’t walk, I prance – and that I don’t run, I bound like a gazelle. I also love to play! I have this little stuffed animal that I like a lot- I carry it in my mouth or make it squeak. Sometimes I ‘hide it’ to keep it safe - and other times, I chew on it then snuggle.
I also like to run and explore the yard, play with my doggy foster brother and chase a tennis ball. I don’t know to return it yet - but I bring it back to the general area. Sometimes I like to bat at the ball with my paws, or let it to drop from the sofa or stairs then pounce on it. All in all I create a lot of fun wherever I am. And I’m such a good little girl that I also share my new toys with my doggy foster brother (and I’m teaching him that it's ok for him to share his toys, too.)
My human sister says that I'm quite the charmer and respond well to children and adults alike. Although I can be a little hesitant at first, I open up quickly. I happily snuggle with kids, allow them to pet and pick me up. I then thank them with lots of kisses to show them how much I appreciate their new friendship. With adults my curiosity and sweet nature win out. I will wag my tail to let the visitors know how happy I am to meet them - and if they don't mind, gives them lots of kisses to thank them for their visit. I won't say no to offered belly rubs or ear scratches, either.
I’m learning to walk on a leash, enjoy riding in the car and always excited at the opportunity to learn something new!I love to be held and snuggle a lot – and sleep in the big people’s bed, too! At night, after a busy day of play, I like to fall asleep all curdled up in the crook of Mom’s arm, where I feel safe, warm, and loved. (If you do wake up and move around, I’m ready to give you kisses and play. A few big belly rubs will signal that it's time to go back to sleep and I'll get comfy and head back to bed. Playing and giving kisses sometimes wears her out, so even a comfy pair of arms is a good spot for a little nap.)
Because there are other dogs in my foster home, I don’t have what Mom calls ‘separation anxiety. (She says that’s a good thing!) So, if you have children, and another young dog and are looking for a little sweetheart who loves to go play and cuddle, then I'm your girl. Please ask for Lilly and I will snuggle my way into your heart.
Love and Snuggles,
Lithe and Lovable Lilly
