Crystal's Info...

I am housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Crystal's Story...
I'm Crystal. Well, I'm actually not crystal, I'm just named Crystal. My foot broke like it was crystal. The nice doctors at VSCOT are going to put my foot back together on Wednesday. Thanks Jackie's Fund!

The good news is I got to move into foster right away because I broke my foot. So far, it's fun. I have two boy greyhounds and a girl whippet to hang around with, and a orange, fuzzy thing they tell me is a dog. I'm not really sure about that, but whatever she is, she seems nice. The best part of foster is the people. I want to be with that all the time. They give pets, walk me around the yard, and give me yummy food. I think I'm going to like being a pampered pet.

Crystal is 2. She seems to be doing fine with small dogs, but her cat status is unknown. She will be available after her rehab.

FOSTER UPDATE:

Crystal is doing well in foster. She is restricted to "walk only" on a leash, but would clearly love to run and play. She grabbed her new toys within moments. She also learned to go through the dog door instantly (probably because we didn't want her to use the dog door.) :)

Crystal likes the other dogs, but is definitely more focused on us. Crystal is going to be great companion and would probably do well in a home with or without other dogs, if her person is with her most of the time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crystal, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
