Hi! My name is Pepper! I am a one year old English Pointer. I was found by the pound staff living outside with a dismantled dog house for shelter (I can't help it that the top keeps coming off every time my cable catches it when I run! It's a cheap, flimsy dog house! Lol.) My latest caretaker said she tried to make me an inside dog but with 2 part time jobs, kids and other dogs, she didn't have the time to set a routine for me and I didn't know what was expected of me.
Then she suffered a serious injury. I've been living outside full time ever since as with my level of energy she's afraid I could accidentally bump her and cause her further injury.
I'm an awesome dog, if you ask me. I love everybody - kids, men, women, other dogs, etc. I just need some training, some direction, or I'll just run and jump with gleeful abandon. To be honest, I think everybody should run and jump with gleeful abandon at least once a day.
I do have a high energy level and need some training so would enjoy an active family that has plenty of time to spend training me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
I AM SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED ON : TUESDAY OCTOBER 28, 2014. IF MY EUTHANASIA DATE AND TIME ARE ABLE TO BE EXTENDED IT WILL BE. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS I AM NOT IN URGENT NEED OF A HOME BECAUSE I AM. THIS IS DETERMINED ON A DAY BY DAY BASIS AS THE POUND'S SPACE IS VERY LIMITED.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
