Lucy's Info...

Lucy's Story...
"Lucy" is a sweet, loving, energetic 10-mos old female GSD mix. She is very affectionate, loves attention, and likes to cuddle. She is good with young children, and is presently living in a home w/ 3-yo twins. Lucy gets along with other dogs but can become a little too feisty, which may annoy some dogs. We don't know how Lucy is with cats, so will only consider a home without cats for her. Lucy weighed about 45 lbs at the time this was posted.

Lucy is housetrained and non-destructive inside the house. She does sleep inside a crate, but that will likely not be necessary in her new home. Lucy will definitely need basic obedience training, as she likes to jump up on people and is a little erratic on leash--though she is not reactive when she sees other dogs.

GSRSV rescued Lucy from the Turlock shelter on 10-20-14, where Lucy had been taken in as a stray. She went directly to a foster home in Brentwood, where she is now located. Lucy's adoption fee is $225.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Pleasant Grove German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pleasant Grove, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pleasant Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pleasant Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pleasant Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pleasant Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
