Frieda is a sweet cuddly girl with so much love and devotion to give to someone. She is about 7 pounds and 11 years old. Don't let her age fool you, she loves to go explore the world on her walks and at home she wants nothing more than to warm her person's lap. Freida is sometimes a door dasher but only because she wants to go too; she has gotten pretty good in her foster home at knowing when she can go and when she can't. Frieda is house trained and will use a dog door but sometimes needs to be reminded, especially if it is raining. She eats anything and gets along with dogs and cats alike.

Frieda has had a malignant mammary gland tumors removed twice now. It has been close to a year since her 2nd surgery and there is no sign of new tumors so we think she is a cancer survivor.

Frieda has had a hard start, but is friendly and outgoing despite it. She is looking for a loving home for a lifetime of cuddles.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we must charge an adoption fee. The adoption fee for Frieda is $150.

If you are interested in adopting Frieda, please complete our online adoption application at http://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process.html. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
