THIS IS APOLLO....and to say he is a giant in a small body is so true! Apollo is a tri colored, 11 lb, 2 yr old, adorable Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu, who came to us from the Baldwin Park Shelter with a jacked up pelvis. Poor baby was hit by a car and left on the road to die! He had surgery and it was hard to keep this youngen' down! His wonderful foster nursed him back to health and today he is good as new! She describes Apollo as "perfection." This submissive boy is willful...but he is very submissive to his alpha roommate! He'll do anything for a belly rub!! He walks well on a leash, loves to go in the car and is everything you would want in a canine companion! Lovey, kissy and potty trained (although we never guarantee)!! All in all, Apollo is a wonderful family dog but he does have one issue you have to be cautious about and that is...he can be an escape artist -- so please make sure you know where he is at all times! The ideal home for this dollbaby would be a home with another dog, kids over 8 yrs old and lots of love to give! Do you qualify?? If you do...he's waiting to meet you!

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
